God cares deeply for us, and He cares deeply about our prayers.
Scripture teaches us that prayer is effective (James 5:16) and that God hears our prayers (Luke 18:1-8). Prayer helps us to align our hearts and minds with the truths of Scripture so that our thoughts and affections begin to love the things that God loves, and to hate the sin that can so persistently ruin lives. Prayer also connects the people of God with each other more closely, helping us to feel the love of God through those Christ has called into His church.
Each Wednesday evening from 6:30 through 7:30 p.m. we meet in the library for a time of prayer. At this time we pray for the needs of our world, our country, our community and our church.
