Children's Ministry

The Children’s Ministry staff of Friendly Hills Church recognizes the great responsibility that parents have of teaching and bringing their children upin the Lord. We believe that our primary responsibility is to support and complement their efforts. We strive to provide a loving church community which helps to prepare and encourage each child to come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
Specifically, we do this by providing quality, biblically sound Sunday school lessons, children’s church for children through 1st grade, workshops for parents, and a variety of activities throughout the year focused on evangelism, and just plain fun. It is our goal to do our part to see that every child who enters our church comes to a saving faith in Jesus Christ.

SUNDAY NIGHT KID’S CONNECTION

   

   For high energy fun, fellowship, and solid bible teaching join  

   us on Sunday nights for KIDS CONNECTION.   Our goal with

   Kid’s Connection is to provide a fun, non-threatening,  

   environment for Covenant children as well as their non-

   Christian friends.  We want to encourage our kids to reach

   out and invite their un-churched friends and neighbors into

   our church.  Kids Connection includes a time of Praise &

   Worship, Fun games & activities, small group discipleship,

   and dinner!  This is a fantastic time for kids 4 years old

   through 5th grade.  Join us from 5:30 – 7:15p.m. on Sunday  

   nights.  (Nursery also provided).

 

Camp Alpha-Omega

Camp Alpha Omega is our largest outreach event every year. Children 5 years through completed 5th grade are invited to attend this fun-filled week.

 

Kids sing, play games, make crafts, hear Biblical truths, and participate in a wide range of exciting activities such as bowling, tae kwon do, field games, etc.  Camp is held at the end of June each year.  Registration begins in the middle of May.  Contact the church office for more information.

 

 

OUTREACH ACTIVITIES

Our outreach ‘special event’ activities are designed to be fun for our church family, as well as an opportunity for people outside of Friendly Hills to see what we’re all about.  We encourage the children of our church to invite their friends to all of our activities including:

Camp Alpha Omega -  A time of fun & games, fellowship, and learning for 4 year olds through rising 6th graders.  Come join us for this exciting week!

Fall Festival – Our exciting alternative to Halloween.  Don’t miss this night of fun & games, prizes, candy, and square dancing!

Christmas Caroling -  A fun time for the whole family as we Christmas carol at one of the local nursing homes.  Don’t miss this special time of sharing God’s love!

Valentine’s Party -  Come decorate hearts, make cards for loved ones, and hear about the ultimate love of the Father!

Annual Easter Egg Hunt -  An opportunity for you to invite your friends as we spend time hearing the Gospel and, of course, hunting for those candy filled eggs!

Family Outings -  Periodically throughout the year, we plan family-oriented activities such as bowling, swimming, and hiking outings.
